Possible error
[edit]In case of getting error: No output seen in over 300 sec... (Is the CD-ROM/DVD source repository enabled? It shouldn't be!)
Please, try the following sequence (always as a non-root user):
$ export LANG="en_US"
$ export LANGUAGE="en_US"
$ export |grep LANG
$ ./hplip-2.X.X.run name of your hplip file —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rezd (talk • contribs) 13:28, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Blatant advertising
[edit]Clearly, this is a blatant attempt by someone at HP to overcome nearly worthless printer support. This issue has plagued HP for over a decade. If HP could, they'd replace printers with Borg robots and inject their $40,000+ per gallon into sleeping people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.211.236.19 (talk) 00:06, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
